We are looking for candidates (immediate starts) to work in our Care Home for the following roles: Kitchen Porters, Care Assistants and Housekeepers.
As flexibility is key during this difficult time, we have part-time and full-time hours available for both permanent and temporary contracts. We are also happy to discuss flexible working, owing to child care issues or dependents.

HOUSEKEEPERS

We are looking to recruit full-time and part-time Housekeepers to join our friendly team.

Successful applicants will work to maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene within our care home, whilst ensuring a safe and comfortable environment at all times.

Applicants should be team players with good communication skills, verbal and written. Housekeepers should have the ability to manage their time efficiently and have great attention to detail when it comes to cleanliness. Experience of working with the elderly is not essential; however a positive, upbeat attitude is a must!

Your main responsibilities will include ensuring that deep cleaning schedules are adhered to and necessary documentation is completed daily. We would also expect you to be sensitive to the privacy and individual needs of our residents, and to maintain a high standard of personal presentation and hygiene.
Full-time and part-time positions are available, on both temporary and permanent contracts. We are also happy to discuss any flexible working request you may have owing to child care issues or dependents. We offer excellent rates of pay, and full training will be provided.

KITCHEN PORTERS

We are looking to recruit full-time and part-time Kitchen Porters, with immediate starts available.

The position will involve ensuring kitchen cleanliness, basic food preparation and maintaining kitchen organisation. Your main responsibilities would include dishwashing, material collection, delivery organisation, storage management and waste removal.

Good communication skills, verbal and written, as well as good team skills, are necessary for this role. The ability to work quickly and efficiently along with being able to follow instructions would be greatly beneficial for this role. Experience in a kitchen is desirable but not essential.

CARE ASSISTANTS

We are looking to recruit Care Assistants to join our team, with full-time, part-time and flexible hours available.

Your main responsibility will be to provide personal care for each resident, attending to their needs by recognising and facilitating the individual requirements of each resident. You’ll also be closely involved in the general activities of the home, and responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for residents, staff members, and visitors. Your daily routine will be as varied as the needs of the people you are looking after.

Applicants must have a genuine interest in working with elderly residents within a caring environment. Applicants should be able to communicate effectively and fluently at all levels and be comfortable working as part of a team.

WE ARE ALSO RECRUITING FOR THE FOLLOWING ROLES:

STAFF NURSES

We are looking to recruit Staff Nurses for both days and nights to join our team.

The successful candidates must be motivated to offer the highest standards of care and be able to undertake all appropriate aspects of nursing care required.

Responsibilities will include assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating care for specified residents to ensure continuity of care and to take management responsibility for a shift as directed.

Applicants will be qualified RGN/RMN and will have a genuine interest in working with the elderly. Excellent communication skills are essential and applicants must be able to communicate effectively at all levels in English. Current NMC registration is necessary and a PVG check also applies to this position. Experience in care for the elderly and previous supervisory experience would be advantageous.

SENIOR CARERS

We are looking to recruit Senior Carers for both days and nights to join our team.

The position will be to take charge of the shift and guide staff to deliver excellent personal care to the residents’ daily needs. The successful applicant will also be expected to develop person-centered care plans, complete and update assessments, review the care plans monthly and organise and hold reviews with the residents or family members.

Applicants must have a genuine interest in working with elderly residents within a caring environment and a willingness to participate in Vocational Training Programmes would be ideal. Applicants should be able to communicate effectively and fluently at all levels and be comfortable working as part of a team.

A level 3 Qualification in Care is necessary for this position and a PVG check applies. In addition, previous supervisory experience working in an elderly care environment would be advantageous.

DOMESTIC & LAUNDRY ASSISTANTS

We are looking to recruit Domestic and Laundry Assistants to join our team.

Successful candidates will work as part of a team to maintain a high standard of cleanliness of linen, towels and residents’ personal clothing, and to ensure an adequate supply of these items at all time. Successful applicants will also work as part of a team to maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene within the Care Home, whilst ensuring a safe, comfortable environment at all times.

Experience working with an elderly care environment would be advantageous but is not essential for this role.

RECREATIONAL/ACTIVITIES CO-ORDINATOR

We are looking to a recruit Recreational/Activities Co-Ordinator to join our team.

Applicants for this position must have a genuine interest in working with the elderly and demonstrate the ability to engage with residents and their families.

Previous experience in planning and delivering a stimulating and varied programme of activities, outings, and events is desirable along with the ability to organise our team to assist. Developing strong links with the local community, schools, businesses and building a network of volunteers in order to enhance and enrich the residents daily living experience is also important for this role.

You must either be, or be willing to become, a member of the Disclosure Scotland PVG scheme.

The position will involve working 5 days over 7 and it offers the opportunity to work in a first-class working environment coupled with being part of a motivated and enthusiastic team.

HAIRDRESSER/BEAUTY THERAPIST

We are looking to a recruit Hairdresser/Beauty Therapist to join our team.

The successful applicant will have a friendly and patient manner, with good verbal communication skills.

At least 1 year’s hairdressing experience is required for this position. You must either be, or be willing to become, a member of the Disclosure Scotland PVG scheme.
