Appropriately named after the nearby historic attraction of Bothwell Castle, our home is nestled in a residential area between Uddingston and Bothwell, right on the outskirts of Glasgow. We are located in a prominent position where residents can look forward to attending trips into the local community with access to local amenities such as supermarkets, eateries, and transport links just a short drive from our home. The area around our home is steeped in history. Our care home is located 25 minutes away from Glasgow City Centre, and whilst residents have access to our homes minibus and private car for both group outings and personal errands, we have excellent public transport links nearby for visiting loved ones. The charming town of Glasgow offers an array of things to see and do for all ages and interests. There is also plenty for residents to do in the comfort of their own home, as we offer a variety of high-end facilities for our residents to use, as well as an activities programme to get involved in. It is highly important to us that we provide residents with a versatile environment that supports overall wellbeing and where continuing with hobbies, pursuing new interests, and making friends are encouraged for an enriching daily life. We promote independence whilst making sure our residents know that we are on hand whenever they need us. We like to ensure that residents feel comfortable welcoming loved ones and take full advantage of our facilities such as the Cinema Room and Private Gardens

We understand that the process of searching for a care home in Glasgow can be daunting and challenging. Our caring team is highly qualified and has extensive and varied backgrounds across both elderly and specialist care. Every single member of our team is dedicated to helping residents and their families on every step of their journey. Prior to moving into our care home, we welcome prospective residents and loved ones to join our Home Manager for a consultation and the chance to get to know them better. During this time we can help answer any questions and also offer advice on what we believe is the best path for them.

Once a resident joins us at Bothwell Castle Care Home, we continue to develop that relationship with them and their family members by providing consistent updates and welcoming them to join in any activities or events at the home. In terms of care, we also create a tailored care plan for each resident, taking into consideration their individual medical requirements as well as their personal needs. This not only helps us to foster strong relationships with our residents but also provides an environment where each and every resident’s medical, emotional and social needs are satisfied. We aim to provide only the highest standards of care and are proud to be regulated by the Care Inspectorate. The Care Inspectorate is an independent body that inspects and rates Glasgow care homes as well as residential care homes and nursing homes in the rest of Scotland.

Residential Care

At our Glasgow Care Home, we offer residential care which is ideal for older people who can mostly live independently but who may require additional support with day-to-day tasks or benefit from the companionship and hobbies that comes with group living.

We support residents in maintaining their independence and dignity, and each of our residents is given their own bedroom with an en suite bathroom for comfortable living. Our professional team takes pride in assisting residents as little or as much as they need, and with a combination of specialist care, facilities, and activities, we can ensure the specific needs of our residents are successfully met.
