High Quality Care, No Matter What
The wellbeing of our residents is at the heart of everything we offer, from the continuous person-centred care we provide, to the outstanding facilities and enhanced daily programme we have to offer. Our caring and supportive staff are dedicated to ensuring that every resident’s admission to Bothwell Castle Care Home is as smooth as possible.
We are proud of our exemplary standards of care, which we achieve by delivering around-the-clock care to each and every single one of our residents. This allows us to fully comprehend our residents’ requirements, and in turn provide them with the right level of assistance, and high quality care that is personalised to them. Our offering of continuous care is supported by Nurse Call Systems that are fitted throughout our establishment, including in bedrooms, so no matter what time of day or night it is, you can rest assured that somebody will be there to assist
Our supportive and dedicated team at Bothwell Castle Care Home strives to meet more than the care needs of our residents, but also meet the needs of their overall health, wellbeing and interests. That’s why we have worked hard to create an environment that supports independence, maintains dignity, and most importantly, our residents can call home.
Unrivalled Levels Of Care, Always
In line with recent Scottish Government guidance effective from September 2022, care homes in Scotland no longer require face masks to be worn during visits due to high vaccination rates and other mitigations against COVID-19 in the social care sector and LFD testing is no longer necessary. Face masks will continue to be provided at the home should it be your preference to continue to wear one and staff will support the preferences of our residents who wish for our staff to wear face masks whilst providing them with care.
We would like to reassure you that we will continue to work closely with our Local Health Protection Teams and will follow their guidance should this decision change. For further information, please click here or contact the Home Manager directly.
The residential care we provide at Bothwell Castle is perfect in assisting individuals who may be experiencing challenges in caring for themselves at home, or may just need a little bit of professional support from time to time. It can also be extremely supportive for those who are becoming increasingly lonely and would benefit from some companionship.
Bothwell Castle Care Home is a welcoming and friendly community where residents can enjoy living in a group, whilst also receiving respectful and dignified care that is bespoke to each resident’s specific requirements. At Bothwell Castle, we value each and every resident for the individual that they are, and recognise that they all have their own specific needs and desires. Our home is fully equipped and our team of specialists are considerate, educated, and provide 24 hour care to our residents with a dementia diagnosis. We strive to improve the quality of life for residents in the Bothwell/Uddingston area by focussing on their individuality, strengths and abilities and enabling them to maintain maximum independence in their day-to-day lives.
We work closely with our residents and their loved ones, involving them as much as possible in the creation of bespoke care plans, and also in the decisions regarding the running of the home. Our team is always developing their skills and receive ‘Promoting Excellence in Dementia Care Training’ to ensure they are delivering the current best practice of care. This ensures that we are always providing a service that reflects the needs and wishes of our residents, as well as supporting their loved ones and providing them with the comfort that their friends or relatives are being well-cared for.
When it comes to nursing care, we understand that our residents require various levels of assistance, as well as requiring care that not only reflects their medical needs, but also their physical, psychological, emotional and social abilities too. Our caring, well-trained team is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, to assist those with more significant and complex medical conditions, to those who just need a helping hand here and there.
Prior to your arrival at Bothwell Castle Care Home, we will arrange to spend time with each resident, as well as those closest to them, to establish a bespoke care plan and appoint a named nurse or key worker. This helps in fostering strong relationships, ensuring consistency of care and allows us to monitor and change care plans as appropriate. It is important to us that we deliver high quality care by knowledgeable staff, so our residents receive the right support for them and in a way that promotes their rights, choices, and preferences.
Bothwell Castle offers respite care and convalescence for those who need support following hospital or private clinic treatment, or as a short-term care alternative for caregivers. At Bothwell Castle you can rest assured that we provide a comforting home-from-home experience that aids in rest and rehabilitation perfectly.
Whether you wish to stay for a few days or even longer, our experienced and dedicated team will welcome you with open arms and do all that they can to ensure your stay with us is as pleasant as possible. Like all our other types of care, this will be subject to a pre-admission assessment.
