Thera-Pet Dog Jin Brings Smiles and Comfort to Residents

Bothwell Castle Care Home recently welcomed a heartwarming visit from Jin, our much-loved Thera-Pet dog, accompanied by his volunteer handler, Claire. Jin's regular visits have quickly become one of the most anticipated parts of our activities calendar, bringing joy, comfort, and plenty of cuddles to residents and staff alike.

Thera-Pet therapy sessions at Bothwell Castle have been met with great enthusiasm. Jin's calm and friendly nature makes him the perfect visitor, and our residents adore spending one-to-one time with him. Whether it's a gentle pat, a warm cuddle, or simply sitting quietly with Jin, the interactions always result in beaming smiles and lifted spirits.

For many residents, especially those who have owned pets in the past, Jin's visits unlock happy memories and offer a sense of familiarity and emotional connection.
