Dementia Care

At Bothwell Castle Care Home, we value every resident for the individual they are and recognise that they all have their own specific needs and desires. Our home is fully equipped and our team of specialists are considerate and educated and provides 24-hour care to our residents with dementia. We strive to improve the quality of life for residents by focusing on their individuality, strengths, and abilities and enabling them to maintain maximum independence in their day-to-day lives.

We work closely with our residents and their loved ones, involving them as much as possible in the creation of bespoke care plans, and also regarding the running of the home. Our team is always developing their skills and receives ‘Promoting Excellence in Dementia Care Training’ to ensure they are delivering the current best practice of care. This ensures that we are always providing a service that reflects the needs and wishes of our residents, as well as supporting their loved ones and providing them with the comfort that their friends or relatives are being well-cared for.

Nursing Care

Our caring, well-trained team is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, to assist those with more significant and complex medical conditions, and those who need a helping hand here and there.

Before you arrive at Bothwell Castle Care Home, we will arrange to spend time with you to establish a bespoke care plan and appoint a named nurse or key worker. This helps foster strong relationships, ensuring consistency of care and allows us to monitor and change care plans as appropriate. It is important to us that we deliver high-quality care by knowledgeable staff, so our residents receive the right support for them and in a way that promotes their rights, choices, and preferences.

Respite Care

Whether for a couple of weeks or months, our experienced and dedicated team will welcome you with open arms and do all that they can to ensure your stay with us is as pleasant as possible. Like all our other types of care, this will be subject to a pre-admission assessment.
