We encourage our residents to continue doing what makes them happy while living with us at Bothwell Castle Care Home. Residents are given an abundance of opportunity to enjoy a new activity every day; whether residents wish to explore the home’s beautiful gardens, socialise with friends and family, or stretch their legs and explore Bothwell’s stunning conservation village, there really is something for everyone.

Our outings and excursions are planned with our residents in mind, to ensure we’re giving them exactly the kind of outlet they’re looking for; staying active and exploring new places is key to staying healthy, no matter how old you are.

Fun Outings For All

Whether residents want to focus on staying active or they wish to spend their days roaming the local area, we think that no two days should be the same, and want nothing more than to make every day different and exciting for our residents.

We have a dedicated team of Activity Coordinators who ensure that an active and social calendar is always planned; taking the time to get to know all of our residents to make sure that there’s days out that suit everyone. Come rain or shine, we place a big emphasis on taking our residents out into the local community, whether that be for woodland walks or shopping trips, and often invite loved ones to join in the fun too.

Our Home is Your Home

Social events, entertainment and activities are organised to ensure that there is always something interesting and stimulating going on every day. There are strong links with local groups and societies, and Bothwell Castle Care Home is often involved in events along with the local community.

Bothwell Castle Care Home also has excellent transport links so whether your guests are popping by for a flying visit or plan to stay for a long weekend, there will be plenty of trips for you all to take together.

No, you won’t have to worry about paying additional fees when it comes to enjoying live entertainment both inside and outside of the home.

The home has its own Caddy which is perfect for group outings. This can also be booked in advance for solo trips.

As part of our activities programme, the activities team regularly takes residents out on trips into the local community. This has included trips to Bothwell Castle, Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum, The Observatory and Glasgow Cathedral.
