Songs of Praise is a religious TV programme that hosts a variety of Christian hymns, sung in churches from around the UK. Since 1961, viewers have been able to enjoy hymns and interviews with people from the church from the comfort of our own home.

Music remains at the heart of the series, as well at the heart of the home here at Bothwell Castle Care Home. Every Sunday, our residents love nothing more than settling down to watch the weekly episode and sing along to their favourite hymns.

Where Singing is the Heart of the Home

Every Sunday afternoon, residents are able to come together, and sing along to songs and hymns that mean so much to them. To see just how much enjoyment our residents get from watching the iconic TV show, head over to our Facebook page where you can find a variety of videos showcasing our residents.

Following the Christian calendar, Song of Praise presents themed programmes throughout the year that allow our residents to come together, socialise and discuss everything from Easter, to Remembrance Sunday through to their favourite prayer.

Songs of Praise is incredibly popular here at Bothwell Castle Care Home, and we love nothing more than witnessing the joy an afternoon of singing brings to every resident who watches it.
