A Social Evening with Residents at Bothwell Castle
To celebrate ringing in the New Year, Bothwell Castle Care Home in Motherwell held a social evening, residents enjoyed a selection of wine and cheeseboards, including a variety of different cheeses for them to enjoy! Residents thoroughly enjoyed singing and dancing along to traditional Scottish music.
This lovely event was organised by our activities team here at Bothwell Castle, our residents were involved in the making of the cheeseboards as well as the centre pieces for the dining tables; they did a fantastic job. The whole evening was wholesome with a warm atmosphere, residents from all of our units came together to welcome in 2024. We also had families join in with the singing and dancing, there was lots of laughter, merriment and plenty of celebrations. This was a perfect chance for all friends and families to unite and toast to good health and happiness for the year ahead. Not to mention it was also a great way to reminisce about traditions whilst making new memories.
The idea of this evening was to promote an inclusive and positive approach, helping our residents continue to build positive and meaningful friendships with others who reside in Bothwell Castle. This event encouraged both physical and social wellbeing for our residents. There was a sense of belonging and our residents shared this experience with their family members
Overall, the social evening was a huge success, it was so lovely to see the happiness and joy as the residents enjoyed tasting different cheeses, wines and celebrating the New Year with friends and families. We look forward to seeing what 2024 has in store for us all and continue to host more social events in the future.
